City-Ticket

City Ticket is a fare cooperation product of DB AG (German Rail), the Association of German Transit Companies (VDV) and the transit networks.

Anyone who uses a DB long-distance ticket (purchased with BahnCard discount) with a travel distance of more than 100 km, on which the area of validity of the Stadttarifzone Halle or Leipzig is indicated by the imprint “+City” can make use of it.

Holders of the BahnCard100 are entitled to use any means of public transport within the City fare zones (Fare zone 110 [Leipzig] and fare zone 210 [Halle]). The BahnCard 100 eligibility to free rides of accompanying children does not apply in this case.
