Short-trip ticket ABO Flex
The Short-trip ticket ABO Flex is suitable for short rides by train, S-Bahn, tram or bus.
An ABO Flex gets you a discount on short ride single tickets against a monthly basic fee of 7.30 euro.
Fare Information
- valid for one person and for one trip
- applicable for trams and buses within city transport areas Leipzig (fare zone 110) and Halle (fare zone 210) for up to four stops not counting the embarking station
- on regional bus routes and trains by Döllnitzbahn up to a distance of 4 kilometers
- in regional trains between 2 adjacent stops (if the bus passes a stop it counts anyway), exceptions are listed at mdv.de/site/uploads/anlage_10.pdf
- valid for all four stops within the Leipzig city tunnel, i.e. between the stops at each end of the tunnel: Leipzig Hauptbahnhof (subterranean train station) and Leipzig Bayerischer Bahnhof
- changing vehicles not permitted
- must be validated before travelling
- is not transferable to other people (photo ID required)

Special features
For a monthly payment of 7.30 euro, you can acquire a chip card, which is a base card. It entitles you to the following discounted tickets:
- Single ticket ABO Flex
- Short ride single ticket ABO Flex
- Surcharge ticket ABO Flex
The discount can amount to 50% of the ticket price.
LVB subscribers who use MOVE+ can not acquire a chip card.
The chip card on its own does not entitle to any rides. It is only valid in conjunction with one of the tickets listed, when validated (with the exception of LVB MOVE+ subscribers).
Some transport companies issue cashless tickets as part of an ABO subscription at stationary and mobile ticket machines as well as at their service points. All other transport companies issue discounted tickets against immediate payment.
Purchase ABO Flex tickets with the MOOVME app
ABO Flex customers can buy discounted and non-discounted tickets cashless in MOOVME. A valid ABO Flex contract and the ABO Flex chip card to be carried are required for the purchase.
The basic ABO Flex amount will be invoiced as part of the monthly billing by the transport company with which the ABO Flex contract was concluded. The offer also applies to subscribers with LeipzigMOVE+.
