City-Ticket
City Ticket is a fare cooperation product of DB AG (German Rail), the Association of German Transit Companies (VDV) and the transit networks.
Anyone who uses a DB long-distance ticket (purchased with BahnCard discount) with a travel distance of more than 100 km, on which the area of validity of the Stadttarifzone Halle or Leipzig is indicated by the imprint “+City” can make use of it.
Holders of the BahnCard 100 are entitled to use any means of public transport within the City fare zones (Fare zone 110 [Leipzig] and fare zone 210 [Halle]). The BahnCard 100 eligibility to free rides of accompanying children does not apply in this case.
Fare information
One way:
- At the station of origin: on the 1st day of ticket validity
- At the station of arrival: on the 1st day of ticket validity
- in case of night journeys or interrupted journeys also on the following day (proof by last punch on ticket)
Return:
- At the station of arrival: on the return date as printed on ticket
- At the station of arrival: on the return date as printed on ticket
- in case of night journeys or interrupted journeys also on the following day (as evident from the last punch on the ticket)
For the use of local public transport in the cities of Halle and Leipzig, the conditions of carriage of the transit companies of the MDV network apply.
