Processing of personal data

Use of this website is essentially possible without the provision of personal data.
Should we require data from you, we will point this out where relevant and then process it for the intended purpose and, as far as technically possible, on a voluntary basis.

Server Log Files

We process information in so-called “server log files”, which your browser automatically transmits to us.
These include:

  1. IP address, date and time of the request,
  2. time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT),
  3. content of the request (actual page), access status/HTTP status code,
  4. the amount of data transferred in each instance,
  5. the web page from which the request originates,
  6. the browser, operating system, language, and version of the browser software.

These data are processed for the following purposes, which also represent our legitimate interests (based on § 6 section 1 lit. f DSGVO):

  1. technical provision of the contents and functionalities of our website
  2. ensuring website operation and user-friendliness
  3. administration, in particular ensuring security and stability
    Deletion happens automatically.

Online Form

We process your data on the basis of your consent, which you grant us by sending us the form. (Art. 6 section 1 lit. a DSGVO).
If the matter concerns correspondence within the framework of a contract, it will be processed for these (pre-)contractual purposes. (Art. 6 section 1 lit. b DSGVO).

Online Surveys

Participation in our surveys is voluntary and anonymous.
If you participate in one of our surveys, we will not collect any personal data from you.
Your IP address will also be anonymised by the system.
Please make sure not to include any information relating to an identifiable person in your entries in existing free text fields.
Information regarding the purpose of any of our surveys can be found within the survey itself.
If it is a survey that requires the collection of personal data, you will be expressly notified of this prior to your participation in the survey.
By participating in one of our surveys, you consent to the processing of these personal data.

Online Raffles

Participation in our raffles is voluntary.
Prior to participation, you will be expressly informed of the respective conditions of participation.
Your consent to these conditions of participation is a prerequisite for your participation.
All the information needed to participate in one of our competitions is included in the information for the respective promotion.
This includes especially

  • processing of personal data
  • organiser, time period, execution,
  • group of participants, determination and notification of winnings, and
  • information on data protection.

By participating in a raffle, you consent to the processing of these personal data.

Comment Function

You have the option to share your opinion with us via comments.
We ask you to use the available fields with caution, particularly with regard to personal data, for your own safety.
For example, in place of your name, you can use a pseudonym. We ask you not to enter any personal data in the subject and content fields.
By submitting a comment, you consent to the processing of your personal data (§ 6 section 1 lit. a DSGVO).

In addition to your comment, your IP address will be processed for statistical purposes and, if necessary, for troubleshooting.
These purposes represent our legitimate interests and also form the legal basis for data processing (§ 6 section 1 lit. f DSGVO).

Chat Function (german only)

We offer a live chat by Userlike on our website (Userlike UG, Probsteigasse 44-46, 50670 Cologne, Germany). Userlike uses “Cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer to enable a personal conversation with you in the form of a real-time chat. The following personal data are collected at the start of the chat: Date and time of access, IP address, amount of data sent and, if entered, first name, last name and e-mail address.

If you decide to make use of a chat, the chat history, including the page history, will be collected, processed and stored in Germany by Userlike on behalf of Omniphon GmbH. These data are not passed on to third parties and are only used for protection and for internal statistics to improve the quality of the service we offer. If you do not agree to this, you are welcome to inform us using the contact details listed below. We will then delete the stored live chats immediately.

Depending on the course of the conversation with our employees, more personal data which you enter may be collected in the chat. The nature of these data depends to a great extent on your query or the problem you describe to us. A link to any other personal data that we may have on hand will only be made if you voluntarily provide us with these data whilst your request is being processed. 90 days after the end of the chat, these data will be deleted automatically.

We offer you this chat to enable you to contact us and acquire information quickly and easily and so we can address your concerns and queries. This purpose also constitutes our legitimate interest in accordance with art. 6 para. 1 page 1 of the DSGVO. By your use of the service, you consent to the setting of cookies and the processing of your personal data, including your IP address in accordance with art. 6 para. 1 page 1 of the DSGVO. Should your contact be made in connection with an existing or planned contractual relationship with us, the processing of your personal data will be based on this (pre-)contractual relationship as described in art. 6 para. 1 page 1 of the DSGVO.

Recipient of your data

Only our employees will view your personal data, to the extent necessary to fulfill the purpose.
In this context, we also use service providers for the following purposes:

  • website operation
  • customer dialogue
  • payment processing
  • sending of information materials

Furthermore, we will only transmit your data to third parties if:

  • you have given your express consent,
  • there is a legal obligation to do so,
  • it proves necessary for the execution of contracts and is legally permissible,

Data will not be merged with other data sources.
We reserve the right to subsequently check the personal data processed by us in the event of suspicion of illegal or other improper use and to pass it on for the defence or enforcement of legal claims.

Analysis Services

We use analysis services in order to constantly optimize and statistically evaluate our online services. The processing of your personal data is needed to achieve our purposes on the basis of our legitimate interests (§ 6 section 1 S. 1 lit. f DSGVO).

Google Analytics

This service uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ( “Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer that enable an analysis of your use of the website and creates pseudonymised user profiles. The information generated by the cookie about use of this website by the user is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and processed there. Their scope corresponds to that of the server log files (see above).

However, we have enabled IP anonymisation on this website.
This means that your IP address will be abbreviated before it is transmitted to Google. Only in exceptional cases is your complete IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there.

Data Safety

We guarantee data security through state-of-the-art security standards.

To protect your data, your connection to pages that allow for data entry is securely encrypted. This is indicated by a small lock or the addition “https://” in the address bar of your browser.

Objecting to Advertising Mail
